Le Zénith de Paris est situé dans le parc de la Villette à Paris. Inaugurée le 12 janvier 1984, cette salle est alors la première de sa génération à offrir une telle qualité acoustique, de confort, de sécurité et de visibilité. Vingt ans plus tard, elle reste incontestablement la meilleure salle de concert de cette envergure à Paris.
Le Zénith de Paris a été conçu et pensé pour accueillir de grands rassemblements de musique rock pour les jeunes. A l'initiative de ce projet : Jack Lang . Il souhaitait créer une infrastructure capable de faire face à la demande de reconnaissance d'une musique populaire et de son public. Ainsi les deux architectes, Philippe Chaix et Jean-Paul Morel, imaginèrent le Zénith, une structure souple et confortable qui, malgré son importance, peut s'adapter à tout type de spectacle.
Le Zénith est désormais une marque déposée qui, selon un cahier des charges précis, s'est exportée dans tout l'Hexagone. Il existe, aujourd'hui presque une vingtaine de Zéniths en France. Le premier à expérimenter ce type de scène fut Renaud le 17 janvier 1984, puisqu'il inaugura le Zénith de Paris. Après lui, bien d'autres ont honoré la scène du Zénith de Paris : Elton John, Michel Sardou, Patrick Bruel et des shows féeriques tels que Holiday on Ice ou Disney sur glace !
